【English to Japanese】Park to Express the World of Studio GHIBLI Cartoon Movies
The park to express the world of the studio GHIBLI cartoon movies was born inside of the “Love/Earth Expo Memorial Park” (=Morikoro Park) on November 11th, 2022.
The GHIBIL park is consist of 5 areas, and, on the first opening period of November 1st, 2022, the following 5 areas opened.
Big Warehouse of GHIBLI
The interior facility, like a “GHIBLI Big Expo”, which is full of a variety of exhibitions of Studio GHIBLI movies.
There are full of “GHIBLI World”, such as movie exhibitions, 3 different event exhibitions, shops, or cafes, etc, here.
You can spend your time here no matter the weather is, because the space after warm water pool was closed on 2018 is used.
Hill of Adolescence
It is located at the North entrance of”Love/Earth Expo Memorial Park”, where welcomes visitors and lead them to the world GHIBLI. You can experience the world of ”Whisper of the Heart” “The Cat Returns” here.

You can look at an antique shop or a violin factory based on the world of ”Chikyu-ya (= Earth Shop) in the movie.
“The Cat Returns”
The Cat Returns
The elevator tower features a design that incorporates the fantastical scientific ideas of the late 19th century, as represented in “Laputa: Castle in the Sky” and “Howl’s Moving Castle”. It is located near the park’s north entrance plaza and anyone can be enter without a ticket.
Dondoko Forest

To the world of “My Neighbor Totoro” through “The House of Satsuki and May.”
The house of a blending of Japanese and Western styles that Satsuki and May moved to.
If you strain your ears, you can hear the laughter of Satsuki and May and the sound of soot sprites in the kitchen, bathroom, tea room, Japanese-style room, and Western-style room.
*If you have a premium ticket for a great walk in the GHIBLI park, you can have a look around the inside of the facility of “The House of Satsuki and May.”
“Dondoko-do” (Dondoko-Hall) is waiting for you on the top of the mountain behind. Only kids can enter its inside.
Country Village of Mononoke

This is the area with the image of the landscape of Japanese village forest appearing in “Princess Mononoke.”
There is a “Taraba,” a hands-on learning facility based on the buildings in the work, as well as a slide for “Otogijinushi” and sculpture for “Tatarigami” (the god of war).
Valley of Witch

This area shows the image of Studio GHIBLI films featuring witches, such as “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” “Howl’s Moving Castle,” and “Earwig and the Witch”. In the European-style townscape, there are buildings that appear in the films such as “Guchoki Panya Bakery,” “Howl’s Castle,” and “Witch’s House,” as well as a “Merry-Go-Round” and “Flying Machine,” which are motifs from Studio GHIBLI films. The town and buildings are filled with magical gadgets and a longing to fly.
It opens as scheduled above. The forest and roads remain same as the ones in the movie, and you can walk on your feet and can experience the world of Studio GHIBLI movies.
スタジオジブリ作品の世界観を表現した公園
スタジオジブリ作品の世界観を表現した公園施設が、2022年11月1日「愛・地球博記念公園（モリコロパーク）」内に誕生しました。
ジブリパークは5つのエリアから構成され、2022年11月1日の第1期開園では、次のエリアが開園しました。
ジブリの大倉庫
スタジオジブリ作品のさまざまな展示物が詰まった、「ジブリの大博覧会」のような屋内施設です。
ここは映像展示や3つの企画展示、ショップやカフェなど”ジブリ”がぎゅっと詰め込まれています。
2018年に営業を終了した温水プールの空間を活用しており、通年天候に左右されずに過ごすことができます。
青春の丘
愛・地球博記念公園の北口に位置し、来園者を迎えジブリパークの世界へと導いてくれる場所です。ここでは「耳をすませば」「猫の恩返し」の世界観を体験できます。
耳をすませば
耳をすませばの”地球屋”では映画の雰囲気に合わせ、アンティークショップやバイオリン工房を見ることができます。
猫の恩返し
『猫の恩返し』に登場した「猫の事務所」があります。
「猫の事務所」は”猫サイズ”で建てた木造平屋の建物。家具や小物などに囲まれくつろぐバロンとムタの姿も。
建物の基礎から木材を組んで仕上げるところまで、本物の建築物と同じように作られています。
どんどこ森

「サツキとメイの家」で『となりのトトロ』の世界へ。
サツキとメイが引っ越してきた和洋折衷の家。
炊事場、風呂場、茶の間、和室、洋間など、耳をすますと、サツキとメイの笑い声や、ススワタリの音が聞こえてくるようです。
※ジブリパーク大さんぽ券プレミアムをお持ちの方は「サツキとメイの家」の建物の中を観覧することができます。
裏山の頂上には「どんどこ堂」が待っています。
子どもたちだけが中に入れますよ。
もののけの里
『もののけ姫』に登場する和風の里山的風景をイメージしたエリア。
作品内の建物をモチーフにした体験学習施設「タタラ場」や、「乙事主」の滑り台、「タタリ神」のオブジェがあります。
魔女の谷
2024年3月16日にオープン！
『魔女の宅急便』や『ハウルの動く城』、『アーヤと魔女』といった、魔女が登場するスタジオジブリ作品をイメージしたエリア。ヨーロッパ風の街並みのなかに、「グーチョキパン屋」や「ハウルの城」、「魔女の家」といった作品に登場する建物をはじめ、スタジオジブリ作品がモチーフの「メリーゴーランド」や「フライングマシン」があり、街や建物の至るところに魔法の仕掛けや空を飛ぶことへの憧れがつまっています。
このように開園予定です。森や道をそのままに、自分の足で歩いてスタジオジブリ作品の世界観を体感できます。
