Hiragana/ひらがな
Let’s pronounce each sound!
This is the chart to show how Hiragana is constructed with alphabet. All Hiragana letters always consist of the combination of one consonant and one vowel, for example, か= (k + a), そ = (s + o), or ね = (n + e), etc.
You can learn it from the chart below.
One irregular part is ふ. It is not (h + u) but (f + u). ふ in Japanese sounds more naturally by the combination of (f + u) than by the combination of (h + u).
Also, ん (n) is exceptional. Only (n) expresses ん.

Hiragana Daku-On (dull-sound)
Daku-on is dull-sound of Hiragana. In addition to the basic 46 Hiragana letters, there are 25 letters with dull-sound. This is also the combination of consonant and one vowel. For example, が = (g + a). (g + a) is dull-sound of か(k + a). When you write dull-sound, you can add ” at the upper right of the letter, such as か(k + a) + ” = が(g + a), さ(s + a) + ” = ざ(z + a).
Only exception is p-sound. You can add ° at the upper right of the letter. は(h + a) + ° = ぱ(p + a).
